3rd London Lockdown, part 1 (black and white and colour)

Here we go again. The UK Government enforced a new lockdown with the new restrictive measures coming into force hours after reaffirming there would have been a leeway around Christmas day. However, in a rather unspectacular fashion, Boris Johnson had yet another change of heart. Honestly, I cannot recall how many U-turns the Conservative-led government has made on Covid and Brexit. In any case, it is what it is. And when you can’t do what you do, then you do what you can. In my case, all I can do is walking around with my Fujifilm X-T3. Enjoy. More to follow in the coming days….

By the way, yesterday I bought a street photography book by UK photographer Brian Lloyd Duckett featuring 52 assignments. The first picture below ticks off assignment No. 49 “Mirror Mirror Technique”.

Little Venice

In spite of the cloudy weather – the quintessentially Autumn climate someone could argue! – and a little bit of a cold (yep! I’m not in great shape, to be honest with you!), I ventured out with my FUJIFILM X-T3 camera and the Fujinon XC 50-230mm. Once again, I can honestly say this is a massively underrated lens as results speak for themselves.

Wedding Dress

IS THIS A MESSAGE OF HOPE? This evening I went for an after work walk and came across a dry cleaner’s shop window. I noticed the owner put on display a female wedding dress and I asked myself why he/she did so. Not only this is one of those dresses women may wear once in their lifetime but also it must have been the least popular outfit of 2020 given most weddings got postponed to 2021…. In any case, I admire the underlying message of hope. “We shall overcome.”
